Ana & Alex arrived from the USA for a small wedding gathering and ceremony with the nearest family and friends. I was their wedding photographer in Zagreb, Croatia and I’m really grateful for their trust. Almost everything took place in one of the luxurious Wedding venues in Zagreb Croatia – Hotel Esplanade. Alex is an amazing pianist and piano professor. They rented the apartment during their stay in Zagreb just because it had the piano. The idea was to do a couple of photos of Alex when getting ready and some portraits while playing on it. But for a great surprise: the piano was locked! So he could not even play. The story continued at the Esplanade hotel from where we went to the wedding ceremony in one of the most beautiful churches in Zagreb.
Due to the strong heat, we were prevented to do the photo session because Ana experienced the sunstroke a few days earlier. When we returned to the beautiful Oleander Terrace of Hotel Esplanade we managed to do some photos in the shade. Weddings are always full of surprises, limitations, and my job is to adapt. And believe it or not, I enjoy doing that every single time. As soon as the sun went down, I called them to do what I love probably the most – backlit wedding photos.
